2015-16 Primary PE and Sports Grant Allocations

On the 26 October, The Education Funding Agency (EFA) notified the Local Authority (LA) of its schools 2015-16 academic year Primary PE and Sports allocations.

As a result of this notification, the Primary PE and Sports payment for the period September 2015 to March 2016 will be included in the November School's advances. View the table of allocations.

Allocations for the academic year 2015-16 are calculated by the EFA using the number of pupils in years 1 to 6, as recorded in the January 2015 census, as follows:

• schools with 17 or more pupils receive £8,000 plus £5 per pupil
• schools with 16 or fewer pupils receive £500 per pupil

Where a schools' pupils are not recorded by year group, pupils aged 5 to 10 are deemed eligible.

At this point we do not have any guidance in respect of the continuation of the grant for the academic year 2016-17 and beyond. We will notify schools on the receipt of any further information in respect of future allocations.
