What’s been happening this week at Schools Financial Services

BPS and Compliance – We have had some queries about making changes on the BPS to both monitoring and the current budget and how these changes will be viewed by the Returns and Compliance team. The Returns and Compliance team do not look at the BPS (or any other system the school may use). They only look at the submitted budget and any monitoring sent to SFS. Compliance checks: the Returns and Compliance team check to see that the budget submitted to SFS is the same as the fixed budget on FMS as agreed by governors. The Returns and Compliance team also check to see the monitoring submitted to SFS is the same as the one seen by governors. Monitoring checks: the Returns and Compliance team check that the original budget matches the submitted three year budget.

Benchmarking – The Schools Financial Services generated School Benchmarking for the financial year 2014/15 is now available on Kelsi and can be viewed here.
