Developing the role of team leader in Early years

This two day course aims to develop leadership and management skills in Managers / Team leaders, adults and manage team issues.

Day 1 will cover:  Learning centered leadership, leadership styles, leadership v management, personal skills, thinking styles and dealing with difficult conversations.

Day 2 will cover:  Factors for developing teamwork, dealing with critical incidents, managing change and the resulting behaviours of team members and dealing with difficult conversations.

By the end of the course participants will have knowledge of team dynamics (with a focus on Early Years settings), awareness of strategies for dealing with challenging conversations with adults, knowledge of leadership styles and personal organisation, strategies for dealing with change, strategies for personal effectiveness, strategies for managing and having difficult conversations.
