HeadStart Kent 2016 Big Conversation Day Event

The annual HeadStart Kent Big Conversation Day Event will take place on Wednesday the 16 March 2016, at the Rare Breeds Centre in Ashford.

This is a fantastic and unique opportunity for 13-19 year olds to develop their knowledge and skills and be part of interactive workshops, including positive relationships and promoting positive emotional health and wellbeing. There will also be the opportunity to have some fun on the Rare Breeds farm to learn about caring for animals and horticulture.

The event will open with a keynote and inspirational speaker who is an Anxiety UK Young Ambassador and British Motorsport star. In the afternoon there will be an interactive question and answer session – the Big Conversation - so young people have the opportunity to ask an expert panel their questions about health and wellbeing. We will have representatives from CAMHS, Brook, Oasis Domestic Abuse, school nursing, sexual health, youth work and North Kent Mind who will be available for an informal chat in the marketplace.

Refreshments and lunch will be provided for all students and staff throughout the day. Spaces for this event are limited (3 students per school) so please contact us ASAP to book your place!
