Free one day Mental Health First Aid training for 16 to 24 year olds

Maidstone and Mid-Kent Mind have been lucky enough to receive funding from the National Express Foundation which will be used to increase knowledge of young people’s mental health.

As part of this funding, MMK Mind are able to offer nationally-accredited Mental Health First Aid training for free to young people in both Maidstone and Swale.

This one day course qualifies young people as a Youth MHFA Champion, giving them:

  • An understanding of common mental health issues and how they can affect young people
  • Ability to spot signs of mental ill health in young people and guide them to a place of support
  • Knowledge and confidence to advocate for mental health awareness
  • Skills to support positive wellbeing.

There are currently several dates for this training in Maidstone - and young people are encouraged to sign up for this training if they are eager to learn more about mental health through an interactive medium.
