Alcohol Awareness Week - Public Health England

Discuss alcohol and peer pressure this Alcohol Awareness Week.

Did you know that 79% of students said they feel socially pressured to drink so they ‘look cool’?

Explore our alcohol lesson plan pack with your class this Alcohol Awareness Week (19 to 25 November 2018) to help students understand why some young people choose to drink alcohol and the impact this can have on their health and wellbeing.

Using peer-to-peer discussion, scenarios and interactive videos, students will be encouraged to identify and assess the risks associated with underage or irresponsible drinking, and how to deal with pressure from peers.

"An excellent lesson on a topic that students often think they know a lot about. The activities in this lesson will challenge that view.”
