March Headteacher Briefings

Thank you to those who attended my recent Headteacher Briefings. As promised, the presentation (PDF, 925.8 KB) from my meetings is now available. As I outlined at the meetings, please find the recent resource from the Education Endowment Foundation which is designed to help promote better-informed discussion in governing boards about how your school can improve. A reminder that I am keen to hear from Headteachers about how we shape future meetings, any further suggestions are welcomed to the EYPSsupportteam@kent.gov.uk email address.

New Area Education Officer for West Kent

I am pleased to announce that Nick Abrahams will be taking up post on Monday 1 April as the permanent replacement for Jared Nehra. Nick may be known to some of you from his current role as Strategic Programme Manager (Infrastructure) at KCC. I would like to welcome Nick to the Children, Young People and Education Directorate and I am sure that he will hit the ground running, taking the opportunity to meet with as many of the West Kent Headteachers as possible.
