A message from Matt Dunkley CBE:

28 September 2020 weekly update

28 September 2020

This week, Matt relaunches the weekly Kelsi e-bulletin.

Dear Colleagues

As you may have noticed, I made the decision back in March, at the early stages of the pandemic, to suspend issuing our weekly e-bulletin. Since that date, you have been receiving regular letters from me, Alex Gamby or David Adams and your AEO containing urgent education and health related information, plus we know that the DfE has also been regularly communicating direct with you.

As we are now all on unfamiliar ‘business as the new usual’ ground, I felt that the return of the regular, weekly e-bulletin should be reinstated. However I will still be writing directly to schools with time critical COVID updates and information between weekly bulletins where this is necessary.

Please find my most recent letter to schools from Friday 25 September (PDF, 189.8 KB).

This bulletin will be shorter and more succinct and will provide you the most relevant and important information as well as links to any coronavirus letters on Kelsi, key information from other KCC services, Public Health and will also provide timely reminders on a number of activities e.g. Autumn Census, data sharing, guidance etc. I hope that you will agree that this refreshed approach to the e-bulletin, on a weekly basis, will work for you and your school as we all slowly move forward this term

Finally, I want to thank David Adams, the Area Education Officers, School Improvement Advisers and the Early Years sector for providing that immediate support and guidance to you and your school or setting during the last 6 months.

With best wishes
