Mental Health and Well-being Framework

Mental health and wellbeing is vital for learning.

Children who are mentally healthy learn better, benefit from life experiences and have stronger relationships with family members, school staff and peers.

This training is based on a large evidence base on what helps school leaders support mental health and well-being in their schools. The programme consists of four afternoon sessions providing a co-ordinating framework through which to consider mental health and well-being using a population health model. It celebrates good practice, focusing and building upon what your school is already doing and promotes learning from one-another.

This training is aimed at senior leadership within schools, such as Headteachers, assistant and deputy heads, Sencos or school governors. In order to benefit fully from this training, we invite a second member of staff from each school to attend at no additional cost. However, in the interests of consistency, we advise that at least one of the members attends all four sessions as the course builds from session to session.

Maximum number of delegates from each school who may attend is two.
