This year's exhibition will take place in County Hall, Maidstone, from 26 October to 27 November, which will include an awards ceremony on a date TBC in November. A selection of the works will be taken from Maidstone to be shown in the Clore Studios at Turner Contemporary over Christmas and then onto the Sevenoaks Kaleidoscope Gallery.

There will be prizes for the top three individuals in each of the age groups, 11–16 and 17–18 and the John Downton trophy for the best overall submission by a school. In addition there are media specific prizes in painting, drawing, photography and mixed media. Finally there is a People's Choice Prize which is voted for by visitors to the exhibition. The work will be judged by a panel comprising teaching staff at UCA, Canterbury Christ Church and the University of Kent Submissions close at midday on September 25.
