Kent Scheme pay band annual increase

The Kent Scheme pay scales have now been confirmed.

Last month the County Council agreed the budget for next financial year against a backdrop of considerable financial and budgetary constraints. The budget included provision for the pay increase for 2018/19 and Members were keen to ensure that this recognised the vital contribution staff make towards the successful running of the organisation.  The top and bottom of the Kent Scale pay bands will increase by 1.3% for 2018/2019;  except for those at KR2 who will see an increase to £8.10 per hour, which is above the National Living Wage and the bottom of KR3 which immediately follows the KR2 salary.

This outcome has not yet been endorsed by the Trades Unions who participate in Local Pay Bargaining.
