The framework, let by KCS Professional Services on behalf of the Central Buying Consortium (CBC) and Kent County Council (KCC) and available nationally, supports educational establishments as well as the wider public sector including universities, police, ambulance and fire services, NHS trusts and charities. It’s fully OJEU-compliant, offering comprehensive assistance and contract lifetime support from a dedicated team.

Running until February 2021, three separate lots are included, encompassing not only the security element but also Microsoft and Commercial Off The Shelf software:

Security

This lot relates to products used for security purposes including, but not limited to, antivirus, anti-malware, firewall, access control, security information management and anti-spyware software.

Microsoft

This relates to products licensed and distributed by Microsoft and approved resellers.

Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS)

Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) relates to manufactured standard software products including, but not limited to, operating systems, databases, graphic packages and patient management systems software. This includes customising and configuring existing software to specific requirements (as long as the coding is not changed).

All three lots also cover future releases and any associated professional services that are required by the Authorised Authority, such as auditing.
