Calling all Student Photographers

We're excited to announce the SPS photography competition is back.

For the past few years Schools’ Personnel Service has released a calendar for use in Schools and Academies. Last year we ran a photography competition to find photos to use for each month, and this year’s calendar we have showcased the winning entries from each season. Due to its success we plan on producing another for the next academic year (September 2018 - August 2019).

We are therefore again running a competition to find images for our next calendar. The competition is open to school children 18 years of age or under. The theme for our new calendar will be ‘Colour’.

This can be anything that you choose, but its worth remembering these tips:

  • The photos used in the calendar will be Landscape, so your photos should also try and fit to this format.
  • Fill the photo with colour! The more colours and shapes we see, the better...
  • All works must be original and your own.

The deadline for entries will be 6 July with winners being announced on the 13 July.

Prizes will be awarded for the top twelve images; prizes will be awarded to the overall competition winner, and eleven highly commended entries. The top entries will be published in the academic year calendar, and we will also publish all of the entries on our website.

  • Overall Winner - £50 Amazon Voucher
  • Highly Commended - £10 Amazon Voucher

For full competition details and a downloadable poster to display in your school please see the SPS website

Entries to be submitted to bscmarketing@kent.gov.uk.

For each submission, we ask that you include your Name, Age and Title for the photograph and the Name of your School, which will be published inside the calendar and may be used on our social media channels. This information will only be used for the purposes of this competition. You are able to submit as many entries as you like, however should more than one image be successfully included in the calendar, one prize value will be awarded (highest value). Entries should all be in JPEG format and would need to be of high quality for the best chance to win.
